The 23-year-old has signed a four-year contract that will keep him at Dortmund until the summer of 2016.

The striker is yet to undergo a medical, but that is just expected to be a formality.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said: "We are delighted to add a young German player that fits perfectly in our team. He has a great future."
