Man Utd closing in on £16m deal for Everton ace
Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a £16millon deal to sign Everton star Leighton Baines.United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has long been linked with a move for the England international defender.
Fergie is keen to bring in Baines as a long-term successor to Patrice Evra.
The Daily Star reports that United are prepared to pay an initial £12million for Baines, which could rise by another £4million depending on add-ons.
