Mirallas' signed for the club last week after stalling to wait on an offer from Arsenal, but still decided to move to the North West.

"Discussions were at quite an advanced stage with Arsenal, but it was always clear that it was going to be totally down to me to make the decision", Mirallas told Everton’s website.

"From the word go I was really impressed by the extent to which the manager wanted me here.

"He showed a lot of confidence. I was convinced that what was important for me at this stage of my career was to get plenty of time on the field."
