Inzaghi was forced to train separately at the Lazio training ground in pre-season after being frozen out, but managed to score a last-minute equaliser against Lecce tonight.
“I dedicate this goal to my uncle, who died this week, and to myself. It wasn’t easy to train hard on my own for two months,” he said.
“I thought I’d be back in the side earlier, but that’s alright. I am happy for me and for the team, because we did not deserve to lose tonight.
“We earned a good point, but now it is already time to focus on the next match, because we strongly wanted the three points today and it didn’t happen.”
