Tottenham have had their worst start to the season since 1912.
He said: “It’s not a nice time for everyone involved.
“To be bottom of the league is not good enough with the quality of players we have. We should be doing better.
“The players are really trying on the training pitch and on match days to get it together but it just hasn’t happened for us, especially as an attacking force.
“It’s down to the players to change things and we’ll continue to work hard and try to find some consistency in our play.
“We have to believe we’re going to turn it around. No-one is going to help when you are down there, clubs will trample on us to get above us.
“We have enough quality and we have to bring that out. It’s time to do that.
“There are no problems behind-closed-doors. The lads all get on, the team spirit is good, regardless of results.
“We’re professional footballers, so of course it hurts. Myself and the rest of the players don’t like looking at the league table at the moment.
“It hurts to see us bottom of the league. With the talent and quality of players we’ve got we know it’s just not good enough.
“But of course we’re hurting, we’re all hurting.
“All we can do is continue to work hard and we’re doing that out on the training pitch, staying behind, trying to improve.
“We’re all together and we have to go forward as a unit.”
