Ross currently play for Norwegian club Viking after joining them from Millwall in March 2007.
He said: “They have a lot of good players and a few play here in Norway.
“The guys I’ve played against are decent, but I really don’t envisage any major surprises for our guys.
“Scotland will be too strong for them. We have got more match-winners than Norway.
“The likes of James McFadden and Shaun Maloney are capable of something special in the final third.
“The Norwegians were disappointed with their 2-2 draw with Iceland because it was at home.
“Their expectations are similar to ours, but you don’t always have the right to win.”
