Hleb joined Barcelona from Arsenal in a £14million move this summer.
It is expected that Hleb will miss the World Cup qualifier between Belarus and England in Minsk tomorrow, with a foot injury.
He said: ”Obviously, I very much want to play against England.
“For us it is vitally important. Something tells me that we’re going to make history for Belarusian football.
”My recovery is going much faster than was expected.”
And the Belarus captain warned: “If I play, we are going to win, if not it’ll be a draw.
“We can win only if we move fast enough. In each move our players must support each other.
“We shouldn’t give England any space. There must not be any holes in our defence. We should get to the ball ahead of them.”
