Savicevic played for AC Milan between 1992 and 1998.
“It will be difficult against Italy,” he confessed. “We are a small side and we have been hit by injuries.
“Italy have been the favourites in the Group since the draw was made and they are amongst the best in the world.
“The Azzurri will qualify easily because the tough period of September has passed.
“Against Bulgaria, Italy managed to get the point easily and didn’t give away any chances.
“The Italian defence is always the best in the world and they have regained the security they showed in 2006 at the World Cup.
“We are fighting for second place in the Group, but we won’t be flying the white flag.
“We have five or five promising youngsters like Stevan Jovetic, Mirko Vucinic, Nikola Drincic, Simon Vukcevic and Branko Boskovic – just give them time.”
