Rodriguez believes his side know what they need to do in order to beat the Reds at Anfield.
Atletico only managed a draw at the Vicente Calderon and the 27-year-old believes they should have done better.
“We woke up a bit late against Liverpool and finally drew,” Rodriguez told setantasports.com.
“Right now, things are going to be different in Anfield, as we have learnt a lot playing Champions League football, and we know how to play against Liverpool.
“We are at a good position in the table; anyway winning in England is the objective. It would be magnificent and would boost our morale for the remaining matches.
“We proved we are not inferior to Liverpool during the game in our ground, but to take all three points up there, you have to play to perfection and be very lucky.
“The Reds never give up, fight to the last second and never consider they have lost the ball.”
He added: “Aguero and Forlan are one of the best striking partnerships around and I am convinced they can make us celebrate at Anfield.
“I could see they are very motivated and optimistic in the last few days, which is a good sign.”
