“I was very happy with my return to the pitch and for the team’s win,” Samuel told Inter’s website.
“It was a victory that required lots of effort and a great amount of willpower.
“At the start I was almost scared that I wouldn’t be able to play, but I think I put in quite a good performance, especially considering how long I had been out.
“I had some tough times in the months after my injury when my recovery time lengthened and my tendon problems worsened.
“However, thanks to a huge effort and the help of my family I have managed to make my comeback.”
