Riise has struggle to get into the starting line up at Roma, following his summer switch from Liverpool.
“The win over Lazio was incredible. There is nothing better than when the team plays really well,” Riise told Norwegian paper Dagbladet.
“I didn’t want to risk playing but I still have to adapt and learn how to do things here in Italy.
“My days are intensive. Training in the morning and then I have three hours of Italian lessons in the afternoon.
“At times you are tired but it’s worth it as I have to learn the language.
“I understand everything the coach tells me already and my team-mates have been fantastic as they have helped me settle down really well.”
