Sandaza happy at Dundee United

Sandaza joined United from the Valencia reserve side.

“The opportunity to join Dundee United really motivated me,” Sandaza said in the News of the World.

“I’m playing in the top division in Scotland, which people consider to be an academy for the English Premier League.

“The football in Scotland is much faster than in Spain with far greater intensity. It is very tough. In Spain you see far more touches of the ball before it gets into the goal area. Here everything is much more direct.

“The numbers of people supporting Celtic and Rangers are on a totally different level to the rest of the clubs.

“I scored a goal in our 1-1 home draw against Celtic. And when we drew 3-3 at Rangers, the 50,000 crowd, the atmosphere and the two goals I scored made it an experience I will never forget.

“My adventure in Scotland could not have gone any better. I am the third-highest goalscorer in the league, and I am very happy with the treatment I have had from my club and the media since I arrived.

“For the time being everything is very positive, and I feel important.

“I did very well to leave Spain. I don’t know what I would have done had I not landed this chance.”
