“We totally deserved to win this match and dominated the first half,” said Mourinho.
“Napoli did score a great goal, but I do not recall a real scoring opportunity for them other than that.
“We are on the right track to pick up a number of points before the Christmas break. We could have scored more, but in any case managed to get enough goals to win.”
He added: “In this moment I am happy with what my side is doing and we must continue like this, because the chasing pack are not slowing down.
“Milan, Juventus and Roma all win their games. The Giallorossi are a little further back, but last season they were able to close up a similar gap and almost won the title.”
