Roma finished top of their Champions League group, following their 2-0 victory over Bordeaux on Tuesday.
“Of course we’re happy, as this is the first time we have ever won the group. Especially considering how badly we started this campaign, it is wonderful to qualify and to do it as leaders,” said the captain.
“Bordeaux were organised and it was difficult to find spaces, but they needed a win and therefore had to open themselves up eventually.”
The Champions League final will be played at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome in May 2009.
Totti added: “This is my last chance to experience the Champions League Final in Rome and I don’t want to go through it as a spectator. I always said this seemed like a sign of destiny.”
