The 22-year-old has only made one league appearance for the Dutch side this season.
“I stepped up to AZ’s technical director to discuss my situation. I’m unhappy with the way things are going at the moment. I want regular first team football,” said Luijckx to Sportweek.
“I think that I’m good enough to play at the top level and I want to leave in January to play for another club. There’s plenty of interest, so we’ll see what happens.”
