Juventus have been linked with a move for the Brazilian starlet in recent months.
“When I played for Juventus we played a 4-4-2 and Zinedine Zidane’s arrival was decisive,” said Di Livio. “He used to play in an advanced role but he used to come back and defend also.
“[Marcello] Lippi was good as he understood the new system had enormous potential. Sacrifices were made and I think [Mauro] Camoranesi could still do the same job if Diego arrives.
“I like this Juve side and I think Diego could be a replacement for [Pavel] Nedved. Any system can be played if the players are intelligent enough.
“This team reminds me of my Bianconeri. They have a great spirit and I don’t think there would be any problems if Diego arrives.”
