Wenger says his team need to be at their best to overcome the Italian side.
He said: “It’s a 50-50 draw because I believe Roma are now back on form. It’s a well-balanced tie.
“They are a very technical side with Totti as their playmaker but they have other good players like Di Rossi, Aquilani, Perotta and Julio Baptista – who played here with us.
“They are all technical players who are comfortable playing in short spaces and we’ll need to defend well against them.
“And because the Champions League Final is in Rome, they have an extra incentive to fight.”
