The 20-year-old defender has signed a three-year-contract with United.
“It’s unbelievable,” he told.
“I first heard of the interest from Manchester United two weeks ago. Then I thought that it would not continue but when I woke up this morning, I was immediately called to Stoke to come to sign the papers.
“My legs are still shaking!
“I get a tour and will be presented to the first-team players, although it’s nerve-wracking enough. Rooney, Ronaldo, Berbatov. It’s very exciting!
“Cristiano Ronaldo [is my idol] of course but as I defender I need to watch the backline. I’ll pay special attention to Ferdinand. I hope to ever be as good as he is.
“Normally, I’ll be with the reserves but I can train with the big boys a few times a week. Manchester have taken over my contract at Stoke and I get six months to prove myself.”
