The deal will see Drogba double his current wage at Chelsea, according to the Sun
The 30-year-old could earn £40million if he signs a four-and-a-half-year deal with Manchester City.
Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is keen on signing Drogba after failing to bring in Roque Santa Cruz from Blackburn.
A friend of Drogba told the Sun: “City called Didier and promised to double his salary.
“He hasn’t decided what to do yet but he’s not happy with what’s going on at Chelsea and loves the idea of playing for Mourinho again.”
