Reports say Newcastle want to bring in David James in a £3million deal as a replacement for Shay Given and Steve Harper, who is set to leave St James’ Park.
Given has been linked with a £10million move to Manchester City this week.
The 38-year-old, James, is still regarded as one of the best keepers in Britain.
