Ronaldo pledged his future to United after the club turned down an approach from the Spanish giants last summer.
Pepe said: “Cristiano’s mother has a dream – to see her son playing for Real Madrid.
“It is well known that mothers have a lot of influence.
“It is a dream that his mother has but also one that he has.
“Now we’ll see there is logic behind that dream.”
He added: “The dressing room is very good.
“Everyone has an idea of Cristiano that is different from the reality but I have known him for a long time.
“He likes dressing well and buying the best and because he can do that, he does.
“But he is a very simple person really.”
