Eriksson is on the brink of being sacked as Mexico coach after only winning a single game during the nine months he has been in charge.
The Swede has been linked with Portsmouth after the club sacked Tony Adams on Monday.
Eriksson said: “The Premier League is of course a possibility in the future, if they still want me.
“Anything is possible, but as things are in today’s football I’ve stopped making plans for the future.
“Life goes up and down fast in this sport, tomorrow you suddenly don’t have a job, the day after you have a super job.
“I’m happy where I am and I hope to take Mexico to the World Cup.
“I don’t mind being linked to jobs as good as Chelsea and Portsmouth.
“It would have been worse if my name never was linked to clubs looking for managers.”
