The Ivorian defender was linked with a move to the Premier League in the January transfer window.
“I have always wanted to realise a dream of playing in England. It is my destiny,” Gohouri told Sky Sports.
“I want to play in England because I feel that I have proven myself in Germany.
“However, I love the Borussia fans too much to walk away now and I will give 100 per cent to ensure that we stay in the Bundesliga.
“At the end of the season I will then sit down and decide with the club and my agent what happens next.
“I have always said that it would be a dream to play in the Premier League, but sometimes dreams do not happen. I would therefore stay in Monchengladbach and it would not be a problem.”
