The 28-year-old has spent five-and-a-half years with the Tigers.
“I know my contract is up at the end of the season but I’ve just got to try and show the manager that I’m able to play at this level” France told the Hull Daily Mail.
“If I get the nod off the gaffer it’s an opportunity for me to show what I can do in the Premier League.
“Hopefully, the manager will reward me with another contract.
“But if he doesn’t see me as a Hull City player next year then I’ll shake his hand because I’ve enjoyed playing under him. I don’t feel any pressure about it, this is what I love doing.
“I could be at home working with my friends but I’m in a job that I love doing so I just want to show the gaffer that I can play at this level.”
