It is expected Ekangamene will complete the move on his 16th birthday, after impressing during a trial spell in Manchester.
“He is a great talent,” Antwerp’s youth co-ordinator Alex Vervecken told HNB.
“He is mentally strong and is never nervous.”
Ajax and several other big European clubs are also interested in the youngster.
