Marcellis has been linked with a move to Premier League side Everton in recent weeks.
“I really want to stay at PSV and the club wants me to stay in Eindhoven too. We have both expressed the intention to renew my deal, so I expect the situation will be solved in the near future,” Marcellis told ANP.
“I spoke with PSV a couple of weeks ago and that conversation didn’t go as smooth as expected. We’ll continue the negotiations in about two weeks as an agreement is likely to be reached then.
“I did hear the rumour about Everton being interested, but that’s not too serious yet. Therefore, I don’t see the point in discussing a possible transfer now.”
