The Bundesliga side have confirmed they may allow the 31-year-old Croatia defender to leave in the summer.
He told Sports Kenovosti: “It would definitely be England – that is my eternal desire.
“But don’t forget that I have a contract until 2011.
“I have said many times that I would not be opposed to remaining at Hertha.”
