The 28-year-old insists he has no regrets over leaving the Reds.
“Things changed around Christmas,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I worked hard during that period and I got ready to resume training with my team-mates.
“The settling period was finally over, it took a few months for me to adapt to Italian football, but everything became easier after netting against Inter in Milan.
“I love it here in Rome, I am learning the language and I have a great rapport with the fans. I have no regrets over leaving Liverpool.”
