“VfB (Stuttgart) are a well-run club with great fans and a positive environment,” Lehmann told the club’s official website.
“I enjoy playing here. I am looking forward to next season, but for now we are concentrating on finishing the present campaign as successfully as possible.”
“For me he is still one of the best goalkeepers in the game with his professionalism, his reputation and his charisma. I am delighted he is staying on,” said interim manager Markus Babbel.
Stuttgart general manager Horst Heldt also added: “He is the goalkeeper in the Bundesliga that has gained the most clean sheets this season.
“He is on top of his game and will do similar next season, I am sure of that!”
