But Sbragia is determined to keep the club in the Premier League.
“The one thing I don’t want to do is be the manager who took Sunderland down,” he said.
“But I always thought, even at the time I took over, that it would go down to the last game of the season – and I still think that.
“Do I have any regrets? No, I am fine. The players are still good and they are giving me everything in each game.”
