The 35-year-old has impressed for Pompey this season, making 36 appearances so far.
“I would play for another 10 years if I could – but maybe in three years I’ll think about retirement,” he told the Daily Star.
“Before that I just want to continue playing good quality football at a top level. Then who knows?
“We’ll have to wait and see. Perhaps I’ll stay in football in another capacity.”
