The 25-year-old, who has been linked with Blackburn, Aston Villa, Sunderland and Anderlecht, admits he would be keen on a move to England or Spain.
“I wanted to stay at Marseille but it will not happen,” Civelli told Belgian newspaper La Derniere Heure.
“I am at the end of my contract so I will choose a new destination.
“People are talking about me in the Belgian league with Anderlecht. I will not go there as I am hoping for a bigger league.
“I am talking about either the Spanish or English league.”
