Zokora is believed to be one of several players expected to be leaving Spurs this summer.

“Zokora’s not the only option. The number two on our list is just as valid an option as Zokora, and is younger.
“We requested permission from Tottenham to talk to him because we wanted to know what his disposition was, and he would be very excited to play in a competition he never has before in the Champions League.
“But we must deal with a level head.”
