The 33-year-old’s move falls through because of Lucarelli’s agent’s financial demands.
“Due to the continuing and unjustified requests from the player’s agent, the club have concluded the negotiations in a negative way,” Spinelli told Sky Italia.
“We have had a lot of quarrels in the past and I don’t want to restart. I don’t have the will.
“Lucarelli phoned me saying his agent can’t lose money. I told him that this was not my problem.
“I called (Tommaso) Ghirardi (Parma president) and I told him that I don’t want to continue.
“I’m only sorry for Parma who have shown a big responsibility with the player.”
