Palacio joined the Liguri in a £3million deal from Argentine giants Boca Juniors.
“My nickname in Argentina is ‘la Joya’ – the jewel – and I hope I will be considered like that in Italy too,” said the 27-year-old striker.
“I am not able to say how many goals I will score and to be honest I am not interested about it yet. The most important thing will be to do well and to entertain our fans.”
