L’Equipe says the Bundesliga side are targeting Le Tallec as they are keen on signing a new striker, after Alexander Frei left the club for Basel.
The 19-year-old Rennes star is regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in France.
Le Tallec’s contract with Rennes is set to expire in the summer of 2010.
