Aquilani arrived yesterday in Liverpool after completing his move from Roma.
“His style is very similar to Xabi Alonso,” explained Capello.
“The way he moves on the pitch, his style of play recalls that of the Spaniard. He is a very interesting player. At the age of 25 it was the perfect time for him to move away from the Olimpico.”
“He will be good for them but first he needs to understand the flow of the English game,” concluded Capello.
