Santana’s current contract with Fiorentina expires in June 2010 and the Viola has so far not considered an extension for the midfielder.
“I’d like to stay in Florence, but more importantly, I would like to play for a club that want me to be there,” Santana explained to Ansa.it.
“My agent and I have been discussing the option of joining Roma recently, and it is a chance of happening now, as I don’t think the Viola feel the same way as I do.
“I am wanted in Rome, and again, I would love to play at a club that felt like that about me.”
