“We have been talking to David about his future on an informal basis,” he told the News and Star.
“He has had a long time out with injury and I’m not sure where he is at with that at the moment.
“He hasn’t necessarily come under scrutiny as a signing, but if he was to leave QPR and wanted to play some football, then we would certainly be interested in a player of his ability.
“It would be very expensive and David has had his injury problems, so it is one we have just discussed to see where he is at.”
