The Spanish giants have splashed out £250million on players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Xabi Alonso this summer.
“That will be the big challenge of this project,” he told Marca. “Many were top players at their club, it will not be easy.
“They are all internationals but they have to understand that they can’t always play.
“But the player is always selfish. All players want to play all the time.
“My goal will be to achieve the commitment of all, to involve all the players individually so we can reach collective objectives.”
“It may be that we have a little bit of money to spend, but as a club, we have got to cut our cloth differently, whatever happens.
“We have to deal differently and that is something I was made well aware of through the summer and that is the way I am working now.”
