Ribery has previously claimed the Dutchman is ‘too serious’.
He told Sport Bild: “He is speaking to me a lot and getting to know me better.
“The coach has his philosophy that we respect. We train well and hard. We will then be ready to measure ourselves against the great teams.”
He added: “He is very serious, rarely laughs and he is a man of principles.
“There already has been tension between us. For the moment, there is no feeling between us.”
