Saviola left Real Madrid and joined Benfica in the summer transfer market.
“We are always looking to get to our opponents’ goal,” Saviola told Benfica TV. “The idea that the coach transmits to us is exactly this, and fortunately we have the players who are capable of executing it.
“I am delighted to get regular first team action and I am very happy that I managed to score a goal in one of our first matches. I can hardly wait to add a second and more to my tally. I am sure this will happen with the brilliant assists of Pablo Aimar.
“It has been ten years since I last played with Pablo, since we were at River [Plate]. We always get along well on the field, as well as off it. It is good to be on the field with him again because he is a player with great passing skills and is magical.”
