The Serbian youngster has undergone surgery and will be out of action for about six weeks.
Rajkovic suffered the injury during Twente’s draw with Feyenoord three weeks ago.
“Slobodan underwent surgery in London earlier this week. We discussed his situation with Chelsea and came to the conclusion that it was in everybody’s interest to deal with his injury this way,” said a Twente spokesman this weekend.
