Foster was left out of the England squad to face Ukraine and Belarus and it was believed the 26-year-old had been dropped by Fabio Capello.
But United have quickly dispelled rumours that their keeper was dropped.
Foster suffered the injury during the 2-2 draw at home to Sunderland on Saturday.
