With the 5-2 win over Bosnia last night, Spain won all of their games in the qualifying campaign for the World Cup in South Africa next year.
“We all had the incentive to achieve a victory. We wanted to place our name on a new record and we’re happy,” he told AS.
“I had a knock but told the coach I wanted to play and in the end it has happened and I am happy. We are playing as we should are now firmly on our way,” he added before expressing gratitude at the reception given to Spain by the home fans.
“It is nice to leave a pitch so far from home and be applauded.”
