The Etnei are struggling in the relegation zone of the Serie A and repots have linked former Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic with Atzori’s job.
“We will continue with Atzori. We will always support him,” Lo Monaco told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“We are in an ugly moment and that’s obvious, but we have been playing well, and no team has really put us under in the 11 games we have played.
“Even when we played against Fiorentina, you could see signs that made one think we could have won.”
He added: “Our position is deceiving as seven points are too little. It will be hard to climb now and we have Napoli on Saturday. They have been doing really well.”
