The 27-year-old has been available on a free transfer after he left Feyenoord last summer.
“Serginho proved on the training pitch that he has what it takes to improve our team. Head coach Theo Bos had already asked me to sign him, but we initially lacked the financial resources,” Vitesse technical director Marc van Hintum said to De Gelderlander.
“However, a sponsor stepped up who was willing to pay Greene’s wages, offering us the possibility to sign him. He can play as a right-back, centre-back and as a holding midfielder and adds to our options.”
