Peluso has been linked with several of Italy’s best clubs, following his performances so far this season.
“Federico has the qualities to emerge into one of the best defenders in Serie A,” Peluso’s agent, Lionello Manfredonia, said to Atalantanews.com.
“It has helped him that there has been an injury or two in defence, but he has been good enough to grasp this opportunity. He is comfortable working with (Antonio) Conte, as was the case with (former Atalanta boss Angelo) Gregucci.
“He thanks the coach for his opportunity to play in the league.
“There are not a lot of left-sided central defenders in this role, and we both hope that we does well.
“For him, Atalanta is a strong club and an important side.”
