He told the Sunday Times: “I wouldn’t bring in a massive, big-money signing who would be out of sync with the rest from the wages perspective. We’ve got some who earn more than others, but I wouldn’t bring in somebody on four times more than anybody else.
“That would be wrong here and wouldn’t work. Newcomers have to be on comparable money with those who have sweated blood to get us where we are.”
