Chelsea is believed to be leading the race to sign the 21-year-old striker in a £40million deal.
The Blues are set to meet Atletico Madrid representatives next week.
A top Atletico source told The Sun: “This is a battle between Chelsea and Inter.
“If the club decide to let Sergio go in January then he will go to one of those two clubs.”
